Insulation treatment of wire connection

  In order to make the wire connection, the insulation layer has been removed from the wire connection parts. After the wire connection is completed, the connection part must be insulated, and the insulation performance after restoration shall not be lower than the original insulation performance of the wire. Insulation treatment at the joint is usually wrapped with insulating tape. Common insulating tapes include yellow wax tape, black tape, rubber tape, etc., and the width of the tape is usually 20 mm.

1.Insulation treatment of general wire joint. The wire joint of straight shaped connection can be processed according to the following figure. First wrap a layer of yellow wax tape, then wrap a layer of black tape. Wrap the yellow wax tape from the well-insulated insulation layer on the left side of the joint, wrap it for two turns, and then enter the core wire part where the insulation layer is stripped. When wrapping, the yellow wax tape should be inclined to the wire at an angle of about 55°and press 1/2 of the stacking bandwidth until the wrapping reaches the well-insulated layer two laps away from the right side of the joint. Then connect the black tape to the tail end of the yellow wax tape, wrap it from right to left in another oblique direction, still press 1/2 of the width of each lap until the yellow wax tape is completely wrapped. In the process of wrapping, the tape should be tightened and the core wire must not be exposed to ensure the insulation quality. PVC insulation tape or polyester insulation tape shall be used in wet places.

2.Insulation treatment of T-shaped branch joint. The basic insulation treatment method of wire branch joint is the same as above, and the wrapping direction is shown in the figure below. Go back and forth in a T-shaped way to make each wire wrapped with two layers of insulating tape, and each wire should be wrapped to twice the width of the tape of the intact insulating layer.

3.Insulation treatment of cross branch joints. When insulating the cross branch joint of the wire, the wrapping direction is as shown in the figure below. Go back and forth in the shape of a cross, so that each wire is wrapped with two layers of insulating tape, and each wire should be wrapped to twice the width of the tape of the intact insulating layer.
