1. Switchgear and controlgear

Its the general term for the combination of start-up equipment, switchgear and associated control, detection, protection and regulation equipment. It also refers to the combination of these electrical appliances and equipment and associated internal connecting wires, auxiliary parts, shell and supporting mechanism parts.

2 switchgear

It is mainly used for power generation, transmission, distribution and power conversion related switching devices and the combination of these switching devices and associated control, detection, protection and regulation equipment. It also refers to the combination of these electrical appliances and equipment and associated internal connecting wires, auxiliary parts, shell and supporting mechanism parts.

3 controlgear

It is mainly used to control the switchgear of electrical equipment and the combination of these switching devices and associated control, detection, protection and regulation equipment. It also refers to the combination of these electrical appliances and equipment and associated internal connecting wires, auxiliary parts, shell and supporting mechanism parts.

4 over current

Any current exceeding the rated current.

5 short circuit

An accidental or intentional connection between two or more points in a circuit normally at different voltages through a lower resistance or impedance.
