MGSP-DC Surge protective device, protect against lightning surge voltages in solar system (photovoltaic power supply system). These units must be installed in parallel on the DC networks to be protected and provide common and different modes protection. Its installed location are recommended at both ends of the DC power supply line (solar panel side and inverter/converter side),especially if the line routing is external and long.

Installation method
1、 Installation must be carried out in the event of a power outage to ensure personal safety.
2、 Before wiring, it is necessary to confirm that the cross-sectional area of the connecting wire meets the technical requirements. According to the national standard 50343, the cross-sectional area of the copper conductor for the first level SPD connection phase line shall not be less than 6mm ², The cross-sectional area of the connecting ground wire shall not be less than 10mm ²。 The cross-sectional area of the secondary SPD connection phase copper wire shall not be less than 4mm ², The cross-sectional area of the connecting ground wire shall not be less than 6mm ², The wire connected to the surge protector should be short and straight, and the total length of the wire should not exceed 0 5m。
3、 The installation method of surge protectors should also consider the energy coordination and coordination between multi-level surge protectors when they are installed on a line. Article 5.4.6 stipulates that when the length of the line between the voltage switch type surge protector and the voltage limiting type surge protector is less than 10m, and the length of the line between the voltage limiting type surge protector is less than 5m, decoupling devices should be installed between the two levels of surge protectors. Only when the surge protector has the function of automatic energy coordination, the length of the line between the surge protectors is not limited.
